Strengths
Skilled offensive winger, good vision and playmaking abilities, also slick stickhandler that can slow the play down or give fits to defensemen. Solid two way play, decent frame, moves well and can play a chippy game at times. Was a standout player for Michigan both years he was there, including leading the team in scoring as a sophmore. Former roomate of Max Pacioretty's during their freshman year at Michigan. Played for Team USA at the World Juniors last year, was a First Team All CCHA member last year, HM to the All CCHA Rookie team (beat out by Max Paciorety) and USHL All Star. Had a laceration to his foot in October, followed by a high ankle sprain last month, which has effected his first pro season.
Weaknesses
Will need to get stronger and could stand to add some mass to his frame. Injuries have impacted his first season in the AHL as he adjusts to the much longer, more taxing pro season after playing two years in the NCAA which has a much lighter work load, mostly playing just on weekends.
