St-Denis is not the biggest player on the ice, but he plays a smart positional game in his own end and can move the puck up ice, he plays within his limits as a safe solid defensemen. After spending most of his first pro season in the ECHL were he got good marks for his two way play, he quickly became a favorite of then Head Coach Guy Boucher during his second season. The Dogs will likely look for St-Denis to play a bigger role going forward with the likely loss of PK Subban and perhaps others to last year's D core.
St-Denis joins the list of former Drummondville Voltigeurs players that the Habs have signed. Latendresse, Masse, Dumont, Lefebvre and of course their former coach Guy Boucher.
