Strengths
Has very good speed, skating, mobility and acceleration. Handles the puck well and can hit the open man with great passes. Overall good offensive skills, can generate offense on his own but also knows how to use others wisely.
'06-'07- Exploded offensively this season until an elbow injury forced him to miss a large chunk of the season. Early in the season was one of the top forwards in the WHL and got consideration for the U-20 team. Should be a lock for Team Canada's '08 WJC's. Plays on the point on the PP as he can distribute the puck well, also has a nice shot. Looks to be a solid two-way forward.
Weaknesses
Lack of size and strength as well as concerns about his consistency and intenisty. Will need to get stronger and show he's willing to compete hard night in and night out.
'06-'07- Missed a lot of development time due to his elbow injury. Plays a very passive style at times that is lacking intensity. Would benefit from improved strength and adding more of a physical presence.
